Won the Grand Prize at the 13th High School and Technical College Weather Instrument Contest
Our underwater observation system — pairing a pressure-resistant build with low-power operation — was recognized as a practical platform and took the competition's top prize.
AquaWiz's underwater observation system won the Grand Prize at the 13th High School and Technical College Weather Instrument Contest.
Underwater observation is a field where continuous monitoring and multi-point setups have been slow to take hold, largely because of equipment cost and the difficulty of running the gear in the field. We designed the pressure-resistant structure and sensor acquisition path around the actual purpose of each observation, brought in low-power operation, and pulled it all together into a system that is both affordable and genuinely usable. These points led to the competition's top award.
